When did you open your studio?

Ballet Chelsea’s beginnings date back to 1997, when a few families from Dance Arts of Chelsea wanted to offer additional training and performance opportunities to dancers who were taking classes. Thus, Dance Arts Performing Ensemble was formed. This group later became the non-profit organization Youth Dance Theatre of Michigan and is now Ballet Chelsea. As our membership and outreach grew, we needed more space to order to continue to pursue the mission of Ballet Chelsea. In August 2014, we opened our new location at 1050 S. Main St. in Chelsea, Michigan, which features three spacious studios for our classes, programs, and rehearsals.
