Ballet Chelsea presents Giselle on March 11-12, 2017 in Chelsea, Michigan

Ballet Chelsea is proud to present its premiere performance of the full-length, classic ballet, Giselle. Under the direction of Artistic Director Wendi DuBois, this two-act, hauntingly romantic ballet will leave you spellbound.

Surrender your heart as Ballet Chelsea’s talented dancers present the tale of Giselle, a gentle peasant girl who dies of a broken heart when her lover, Albrecht, betrays her. The Wilis, female spirits who haunt the forest, summon Giselle, intending retribution through the death of her lover. Giselle ultimately saves Albrecht through her great love and loyalty.

The ballet, set to the music of Adolphe Adam with choreography and staging after Jean Coralli and Jules Perrot, will feature original sets by Ballet Chelsea’s Production Designer Stephen Sauers, and exquisite costuming by Ballet Chelsea’s Costume Designer, Mary Waldron. This production is not to be missed!

Giselle will be performed in Chelsea, Michigan on March 11,  2017, at 7pm and March 12, 2017 at 2pm, at the CHS Performing Arts Complex, 740 N Freer Rd., Chelsea, Michigan..
