With sadness, we have decided to end the 2019/2020 class and performance season to keep Ballet Chelsea’s students, families, artists and staff safe. Our performances of Gershwin! will not be rescheduled and our school will remain closed through mid June or longer. Our artists deeply regret not being able to perform for our communities and our students feel the loss of their learning environment. Currently, we are focused on finding ways for our school and performing company to survive.
This crisis has devastated many individuals and businesses. As we work to find ways of keeping our staff paid and covering expenses until we can re-open, we ask that you consider donating your unused tickets to Ballet Chelsea. Donations always play a key role in creating programs of excellence and supporting artists within our organization. During this crisis, donations are critical in keeping Ballet Chelsea viable.
If you would like a refund for your Gershwin! tickets, please email email@example.com.
We are turning our attention to the future. We hope to offer summer classes with safety protocols in place. We also plan to offer some form of our Summer Dance Intensive in August.
We look forward to welcoming students back in the fall. We hope to offer a vibrant performing season including the collaborative holiday tradition of The Nutcracker with Jackson Symphony Orchestra in December and a sparkling rendition of the Sleeping Beauty in the spring. We exist to bring movement and music to as many people as possible. Our strength lies in the passion we bring to our work and the support we receive from our communities. With your help, Ballet Chelsea will continue to offer the gift of dance for all who wish to share in the joy.
