Experience the joy of dance in a fun, supportive environment
Ballet Chelsea’s Adaptive Dance Program (ADP) provides accessible dance and movement classes to folks of all ages and abilities across Washtenaw County (currently serving ages 3-103!).
ADP classes are held right here in Ballet Chelsea’s studio as well as public school special education classes of all grades, WISD centers, senior centers, and residential communities. Incorporating engaging music and stimulating exercises designed to promote physical, mental, and emotional health, ADP was created for a population with limited resources by means of exercise, movement, or physical self- expression.
Ballet Chelsea's Adaptive Dance Program was first developed in 2015 with financial support from the 5 Healthy Towns Foundation, and since ADP’s conception, students, teachers, caregivers, and families have reported numerous physical, mental, and emotional, and social benefits of dance and exercise through ADP. Over the past 11 years more than 1,500 people in over 40 schools and centers have participated in this unique, therapeutic, and inclusive program.
If you are interested in ADP classes for your community please contact info@balletchelsea.org!
