Michael is the Artistic Director of Opus Mime. His work ranges from solo family shows to full-length mime dramas. Two of his mime plays, This, Uh, Body (Texas) and Lascaux, Dawn of Art (Michigan) won State Thespian Festival competitions and were performed MainStage at the International Thespian Festival.
Michael performs, teaches, and coaches at festivals, theaters, schools, and colleges across the U.S. He has directed The Hobbit, Our Town, Agamemnon, and A Comedy of Errors. He also coaches physical acting for World and Olympic champion figure skaters (ice dance gold and silver 2010, 2014) along with numerous other top teams from around the world, including perennial champion Teams Elite Synchronized skating teams.
Michael is one of the last and most advanced students of the late French mime Marcel Marceau, along with numerous other mime masters from around the world. He is a graduate of the Spacial Dynamics Institute in New York, and attended the International School for Theatre Anthropology in Denmark.
