
Ballet Chelsea's summer dance programs provide a tremendous experience and opportunity to explore movement of all kinds while honing dance technique. Our unique programs allow dancers to immerse themselves in a professional training environment using creativity and imagination to develop and enhance their passion for dance. Registration is open.
Registration
Registration for summer camps and classes will close the Friday morning before the camp or class begins. Requests to enroll after the deadline will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Please email Assistant Artistic Director, Natalie Krienke at [email protected].
Registration for Ballet Chelsea classes and summer programs is done through our online portal, DanceStudio-Pro (DSP). New dancers will need to create a profile to register for classes.

Advanced Performance Intensive
The Ballet Chelsea Performance Intensive is designed to allow advanced dancers to immerse themselves fully in their art through an intensive rehearsal process that will culminate in a performance project.
Ages 8-12 | July 24-28 | 4-7pm
Intermediate Mini Ballet Intensive
This mini intensive offers the continued learning of classical ballet technique through a professional class progression, pointe and pre-pointe, repertory, and choreography. Barre work, center work, and traveling exercises are designed to better technique while repertory and choreography classes develop performance quality and build confidence. Through the exploration of ballet technique, use of space, and musicality students will work toward the creation of their own original class combinations which they will share and teach to their fellow dancers to build camaraderie and foster independence!
Ages 7-11 | July 25-27 | 10-12pm
The Nutcracker Dance Camp
Dancers will explore the story of The Nutcracker, its characters, the music, and learn fun choreography. This camp will meet daily from 10am-12pm July 25-27 and is for ages 7-11. On the last day of camp, dancers will share a mini performance with family and friends!

Summer Dance Intensive (SDI)
Ballet Chelsea’s Summer Dance Intensive serves the serious ballet student by offering an intensive training process that nurtures personal growth through personal attention and training excellence. Students are exposed to a broad curriculum that includes daily ballet technique, pointe, repertory, modern, contemporary ballet, and conditioning methods in addition to educational dance seminars. Students may choose to attend 1, 2 or 3 weeks. Dancers who are not currently working en pointe may take week I of our SDI and combine that with the Intermediate Mini Ballet Intensive.
Ballet Chelsea offers financial aid assistance for our Summer Dance Intensive (SDI). Applications must be submitted prior to July 3, 2023. If you would like to apply, please complete our Summer Dance Intensive financial aid application and email it to [email protected].
Ages 10-12 | August 22-24 | 4-6pm
Demonstrator Camp
Learn how to demonstrate steps and assist with a dance class for different levels of dancers. Dancers will practice taking turns leading an exercise with the correct technique and musicality, learn how to make corrections, practice assisting with problems that may arise in a class. This camp is all about building dancers' confidence and growing leadership skills.
Ages 4-6 | August 22-24 | 10-11:30am
Prince & Princess Camp
Have some fun with your favorite characters through music, movement, story and craft. Using techniques designed for young imaginative minds and bodies students will work on body alignment and posture as well as develop self-expression through creative movement. Students will learn a dance, make a costume prop, and perform virtually for family and friends on the last day!
