Tula Vadlamudi

Student Representative

Tula began dancing in Kathmandu at age six with ballet and flamenco. Though she loved the shoes, she gave up flamenco when she moved back to the United States at age eight and found a home at Ballet Chelsea where she has remained to the present. She has enjoyed outstanding training and mentorship, focusing on ballet though still enjoying opportunities for character, contemporary, and other dance forms. As a sophomore this year, she was honored to be given the opportunity to join the Professional Training Program at Ballet Chelsea. Over the years, she has been inspired by Student Representatives who have been her voice and is looking forward to being that for others in the 2024-25 season. She is eager to work with other dancers, the Ballet Chelsea faculty, and the Board. She cannot wait to engage with her peers to find new ways for everyone to come together while continuing traditions started by prior Student Representatives, especially Spirit Week, and participating in community events. She expects to spend a lot of time dancing in the next two years through high school, and beyond.
