Ballet Chelsea’s 2020/21 Fall Programming

Over the last six-months Ballet Chelsea has been working diligently to create a fall / winter instructional curriculum that maintains our commitment to high caliber dance instruction while also remaining flexible to ever changing circumstances due to COVID-19.

Instead of our typical Fall Semester, Ballet Chelsea will be running two six-week programs from September – October and October – December. This alternative format will allow Ballet Chelsea to adapt to the continued uncertainty surrounding our ability to re-open our studio.

Our first six-week curriculum will run from September 14 – October 18/23. For this first session students will have the option of taking classes online, in person, or a combination of the two. Ballet Chelsea is committed to the health and safety of our families and staff and want every parent and student to feel confident in their class choices this fall. For this reason Ballet Chelsea is offering a variety of program options for families to choose from. All online instruction will be held over Zoom, while in person classes will be offered both in our studios and at the Chelsea Fairgrounds in an open air facility, which has been fitted with marley floor covering, barres, and stringent safety protocols.

Ballet Chelsea will begin classes Monday September 14th in order to give Ballet Chelsea faculty and staff the necessary time to prepare the studio and ensure all staff are trained in the health and safety protocols of our studio. Registration will close Thursday, September 10th. Be sure to review the schedule on our website for up-to-date class offerings, paying particular attention to where the class is located. Classes marked Studio A, B or C will be held at the Ballet Chelsea studios, while classes marked “Zoom” or “Barn” will be held virtually via Zoom or on the Chelsea Fairgrounds respectively.

At this time, we are unable to announce plans for the rest of our 2020/21 instructional programming. All decisions will be made in accordance with state and local guidelines.

As always, safety and the well-being of all our families remains our highest priority. Ballet Chelsea will continue to follow strict social distancing and safety protocols during all in-person instruction.
